Small businesses are being urged to attend a free seminar to find out about the funding available to them.
It’s being organised by East Yorkshire-based company Heritage Commercial Finance, Towergate Insurance and the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers, the UK’s trade body for business finance brokers.
The event is said to be a real coup for the city of Hull, which has been chosen as the venue for the first in a series of nationwide workshops.
Heritage Commercial Finance director Allison Lee says: “Many opportunities are being missed. We want to advise businesses about what options there are and what is available to them.”
Adam Tyler, CEO of the NACFB, says: “We’ve grown enormously in the past year and it’s thanks to the generous support of patrons such as Heritage Commercial Finance that we can put on industry events across the UK, reaching out to wherever small businesses are in need of funding.”
Simon Martin, from Towergate Credit and Financial Risks, adds:” Too many small businesses go under simply because their customers don’t pay them on time. So as well as hearing about the many types of finance available to SMEs, it’s also important for businesses to understand the benefits of credit insurance. It’s all about protecting their business against bad debt, helping their cash flow and ensuring that they are able to continue meeting their loan payments.”
The breakfast seminar, called “Helping Fund Local Business”, is being held on Thursday 6th February at The Village Hotel in Hessle. Places are limited, so if anyone would like to attend they are asked to contact Emma Bird on 01482 669333 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
