A quarter of adult employees (25%) would consider becoming a financial adviser, according to the latest research.
Openwork’s nationwide study found that there was growing interest in people becoming involved in the financial advice sector.
The research showed that some 10% of adults would definitely consider retraining as a financial adviser, while 15% would consider a career switch into the sector.
Other highlights from the financial advice survey included:
- 17% of men said that they would definitely consider becoming advisers, while 18% said they would consider it
- only 6% of women would definitely consider becoming advisers, while 13% said they would consider it
- 16% of 25- to 45-year-olds said they would definitely look at becoming financial advisers and 20% would consider it
- 20% said they would look at a career in financial advice depending on training support
